Fife Writes scriptwriting showcase, February 2024

I facilitate the monthly scriptwriting support group on behalf of Fife Writes. As part of the charity's ten year anniversary celebrations in February 2024, I organised the scriptwriting showcase. Actors from St Andrews Play Club performed our work as rehearsed readings. 

My pieces were Raffle, Rival Writers, Happy Returns and Another Loss.

I was asked to participate in the Playwrights Studio Scotland Scratch Night at the Dundee Fringe.

Surprised that I was a finalist in the performance section of the competition!

 North East Fife Life, 2022, Byre Writers

These films were part of a project that was funded by St Andrews Community Trust. Service users and volunteers from North East Fife Community Hub attended writing workshops led by Rebecca Sharp, a Fife-based professional poet and playwright.

Monologues based on themes important to the writers were created and then filmed by Krishna Patel of Theatre of Diversion. Unfortunately, Krishna did not complete the editing of the films, which led to a last-minute re-filming and editing session, just days before the premiere screening of the films at the Byre Theatre on Wednesday 27th April 2022. So, the films aren't perfect but a lot of love went into the writing of these pieces and all involved enjoyed the process.

From Page to Stage 2021, Byre Writers

From Page to Stage was our annual showcase of works in progress. 

Since 2015, the event has been held at either the Barron Theatre or the Byre Theatre. In 2021, the show featured as part of the Byre Theatre's digital programme.
